Today on The Fruitful Life, we have the privilege of interviewing a long-standing Fruitful Yield favorite: Mary! She has worked both in stores and at our corporate location in various roles. For over 20 years Mary has been a crucial part of the FY family and will be retiring at the end of the summer. To celebrate such a momentous moment we wanted to ask her a few questions about her journey.
Have you ever seen fast food and wondered, "What's in this thing?" We certainly have! So has Vani. Eating healthier and simpler caused her to start advocating for better foods, and for even unhealthy companies to clean up their acts. Without further ado, it's our pleasure to welcome Vani Hari, founder of the Food Babe Blog, and our new in-store wellness brand Truvani!
Brothers and student athletes Livre and Best Emena come from Carol Stream, IL. Originally, the boys are refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but since their arrival in the USA in 2012 via World Relief, they’ve been making waves both on and off the soccer field. Occasionally, the stars align and they, along with their other brothers, get to play on the same team.
Did you know September is Pain Awareness Month? Again, we get to welcome Chef Kimi Karma onto our blog! Many of our readers who are familiar with Chef Kimi, may not even know that she struggles with chronic pain. However, it was very much part of her journey towards becoming passionately involved in natural health, and helping others.
Today we are looking into the highly talked about One Meal A Day (OMAD) diet. As its title states, this eating style consists of twenty-three hours fasted, followed by a one hour eating window. It is an intense form of intermittent fasting.
Today, we're re-sharing a really good, informative interview with Dr. Rick Sharpee from the NOW Foods Team. (Dr. Rick Sharpee is Director of Science and Nutrition at NOW Health Group. He is responsible for clinical testing for safety and effectiveness, international registrations and technical support for all dietary supplement products.)

Some may walk into any of our Fruitful Yield stores and think we have it all together. Behind the counter, however, we’re just like any other loving, nutty family. Not only are we family-owned, but the staff is full of real people who care about each other and our customers like family. This stems from our roots as a local, family-operated chain, but also from our leadership.
Today we welcome a post from one of our Fruitful Yield team members, an active mom who serves as a role model for us all. We wanted to know what empowers her as a woman, wife, and mom, so we asked! We hope her story inspires you as much as it inspired us.
